Rearcross welcomed a very strong Nenagh team to Rearcross . The two teams had already produced a cracker of a match earlier in the season. Unfortunately this was far from the equally contested first game. Rearcross arrived with many key players missing and as it is hard enough to beat any Nenagh with a full strength team let alone a half strength team. Nenagh took control of the game from the first minute and raced into a half time lead. Rearcross defended bravely but couldn’t hold out the Nenagh pressure and just after half time the flood gates opened. Nenagh hammered 8 goals in before the full time whistle. Rearcross did get a consolation goal through Pat Carroll the only positive from a very disappointing game for the hosts
